I had a delicious lunch at Sakura Sushi & Grill Japanese Restaurant in Cochrane, Alberta the other day. If you are looking for gluten-free Japanese cuisine then do check this place out. Here is a link to their website.

The inside of Sakura Sushi & Grill is lovely. Great design and atmosphere. The music is perfect, not too loud. I really like the cranes!
Be sure to let your server know that you are a celiac. They will bring you gluten-free soya sauce, which is marked gluten-free. Nice touch. Also, they will bring out their gluten-free menu.
The gluten-free menu at Sakura Sushi is two pages. Lots of yummy appetizers
Be careful of any fried items on the gluten-free menu. When I asked my server if they had a dedicated fryer only for gluten-free items, I was told no. This could have changed, so do ask.
I ordered the gluten-free Little Combo off of the gluten-free menu. It is a combo of salmon roll, tuna roll and cucumber roll. So tasty! The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The filling delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this choice.
The gluten-free seaweed salad is so tasty. This is my favourite appetizer. I love the crunchy seaweed and umami flavour.
I recommend Sakura Sushi & Grill in Cochrane. The gluten-free menu is quite extensive. Just take care regarding the deep-fried items on the gluten-free menu, ask if they have a dedicated gluten-free fryer yet. Otherwise, I had a really enjoyable time here and will return.
